Transactions such as Sales, Purchases, Banking, etc., are listed on the Double Entry reports. However, you can create a Manual Journal if you still need to create an additional entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><code>Creating a manual journal for a transaction may duplicate data in reports.<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You need to <code><a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/apps-and-integrations\/installing-an-app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Install<\/a><\/code> or <code><a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/apps-and-integrations\/purchasing-an-app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Purchase<\/a><\/code> the <a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/apps\/double-entry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Double Entry App<\/a> to use the <strong>Manual Journals<\/strong> feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Creating a New Manual Journal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <strong>Double-Entry<\/strong> on the Navigation menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Manual Journals<\/strong> from the expanded menu options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/assets.akaunting.com\/hc\/2023\/04\/14153539\/new-manual-journal.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the Manual Journals page, click <strong>New Manual Journal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the <strong>Date<\/strong>, <strong>Currency <\/strong>and write a <strong>Description<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use <strong>Add a Line<\/strong> to list transactions in the Manual Journal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select an Account for the Line item, enter the <strong>Note,<\/strong> and <strong>Debit<\/strong> or <strong>Credit<\/strong> amount.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can update the <strong>Manual Journal Number.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Basis <\/strong>&#8211;
