{"id":1384,"date":"2023-04-14T15:47:01","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T12:47:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/double-entry-accounting\/trial-balance\/"},"modified":"2023-04-24T11:06:59","modified_gmt":"2023-04-24T08:06:59","slug":"trial-balance","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/double-entry-accounting\/trial-balance\/","title":{"rendered":"Trial Balance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the Trial Balance in Akaunting?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Trial Balance lists all the accounts in the general ledger and their balances at a specific time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A trial balance ensures that your total debits and total credits are equal and balanced and identifies any errors or discrepancies that need to be corrected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Trial Balance in Akaunting typically includes the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Account Name<\/strong>: This lists the name of each account in the general ledger, such as Cash, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Expenses, Revenue, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Account Type<\/strong>: This identifies the type of account, such as Assets, Liabilities, Expenses, Income, or Equity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Debit Balance<\/strong>: This column lists the balance of each account in the general ledger that has a debit balance, which means the account has more debits than credits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Credit Balance<\/strong>: This column lists the balance of each account in the general ledger that has a credit balance, which means the account has more credits than debits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To see the Trial Balance, you need to <code><a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/apps-and-integrations\/installing-an-app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Install<\/a><\/code> or <code><a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/apps-and-integrations\/purchasing-an-app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Purchase<\/a><\/code> the <a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/apps\/double-entry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Double-Entry app<\/a>.
