Before generating an invoice, ensure that the item you wish to invoice has the &#8220;Track Inventory&#8221; option enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To Enable Track Inventory:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From the Dashboard, Click on <strong>Inventory <\/strong>and Select <strong>Items<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>New Item <\/strong>button located at the top right corner of your screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the type of item you are adding &#8211; either <strong>Product <\/strong>or <strong>Service<\/strong>.<a href=\"https:\/\/t4755221.p.clickup-attachments.com\/t4755221\/ae55a36b-353e-4fde-aadd-6d0d0572c523\/Enabling%20Track%20Inventory.mp4?view=open\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1440\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 2710 \/ 1440;\" width=\"2710\" controls src=\"https:\/\/assets.akaunting.com\/hc\/2025\/11\/10160542\/Enabling-Track-Inventory.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fill in the necessary details for the Product\/Service:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Picture (if applicable)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Category<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Description<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the Billing section, tick the boxes for Sale Information and Purchase Information to enter the respective prices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Define the Income Account, Expense Account, and Tax, if applicable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the Inventory section, check the &#8220;Track Inventory&#8221; box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the following fields:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generate a Barcode if necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select a Warehouse for the Item and enter the Opening Stock and Reorder level numbers (You can add the item to all listed warehouses.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then,\u00a0<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>By following these steps, you can successfully enable inventory tracking for your items.
