{"id":447,"date":"2023-04-05T16:43:14","date_gmt":"2023-04-05T13:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/getting-started\/migrating-to-akaunting-443\/migrating-to-akaunting-from-xero\/"},"modified":"2024-12-16T13:59:29","modified_gmt":"2024-12-16T10:59:29","slug":"xero","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/getting-started\/migrating-to-akaunting\/xero\/","title":{"rendered":"Migrating to Akaunting from Xero (On-Premise)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>While Xero is quite good with financial management, your business revenue and growth suffer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Akaunting provides a solution that not only sees to your financial management but also supports business growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Migrating to Akaunting from Xero<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following steps provide a guide on successfully moving your business data from Xero to Akaunting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/assets.akaunting.com\/hc\/2023\/04\/05164914\/migrating-from-xero.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/getting-started\/setting-up-akaunting-cloud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Create an account on Akaunting.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Login to your company dashboard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>Apps<\/strong> on the Navigation Menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search for <strong>Xero<\/strong> in the App Store and Install the <a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/apps\/xero\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Xero Migration App<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After Installation, go to settings on <strong>Side Panel <\/strong>and select <strong>Xero<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the <strong>Xero Migration App<\/strong> dashboard, you should log in to your Xero account by clicking on &#8220;Auth&#8221; and entering the required Xero details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Migrating as an Akaunting on-premise user<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;ve installed Akaunting on-premise on your server (it does not support using on localhost &#8211; that is, your PC), apply the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.xero.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/developer.xero.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sign in to&nbsp;Xero.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Create&nbsp;new app.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter&nbsp;app details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In<strong> the Integration type,&nbsp;<\/strong>select<strong>&nbsp;Web&nbsp;<\/strong>and set&nbsp;<strong>Redirect URL: <\/strong>The redirect URL will be something like this:&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/your-akaunting-path.com\/xero\/auth\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/your-akaunting-path.com\/xero\/auth<\/a> (it needs to end with \/xero\/auth).<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Create your application.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy&nbsp;<strong>Client ID<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Client Secret<\/strong>&nbsp;to Akaunting &gt; Settings &gt;&nbsp;Xero page and&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Xero Migration App transfers your:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chart of accounts (double-entry app).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Credit notes (credit debit notes app).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estimates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invoices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Items.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Purchase order (sales purchase orders app).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taxes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While Xero is quite good with financial management, your business revenue and growth suffer.
