However, having to pay for basic bookkeeping features that Akaunting offers for UNLIMITED is a bummer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/compare\/free-freshbooks-alternative\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Check out Akaunting vs. Freshbooks for details.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Akaunting lets you do more with accounting software by combining financial management and productivity to ensure business growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Migrating from Freshbooks<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following steps provide a guide on successfully moving your business data from Freshbooks to Akaunting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/assets.akaunting.com\/hc\/2023\/04\/05165351\/migrating-from-freshbooks.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/getting-started\/setting-up-akaunting-cloud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Create an account on Akaunting.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Login to your company dashboard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>Apps<\/strong> on the Navigation Menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search for <strong>FreshBooks<\/strong> in the App Store and Install the <a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/apps\/freshbooks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Freshbooks Migration App<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After Installation, go to settings on <strong>Side Panel <\/strong>and select Freshbooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the Freshbooks Migration App dashboard, you should log in to your Freshbooks account by clicking on &#8220;Auth&#8221; and entering the required Freshbooks details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Migrating as an Akaunting on-premise user<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;ve installed Akaunting on-premise on your server, apply the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/my.freshbooks.com\/#\/developer\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/my.freshbooks.com\/#\/developer<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sign in to Freshbooks and then to Developer Portal (Settings menu in the top left corner).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Create&nbsp;an App<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter&nbsp;app details and&nbsp;<strong>Application type.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select<strong>&nbsp;Public&nbsp;<\/strong>or<strong>&nbsp;Test App&nbsp;<\/strong>and set&nbsp;<strong>Redirect URL: The Redirect URL <\/strong>will be something like:&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/your-akaunting-path.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/your-akaunting-path.com\/<\/a>freshbooks\/auth (needs to end with \/freshbooks\/auth)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add<strong>&nbsp;Scopes: &#8216;<\/strong>admin:all:legacy&#8217;, &#8216;user:bill_payments:read&#8217;, &#8216;user:bill_vendors:read&#8217;, &#8216;user:invoices:read&#8217;, &#8216;user:billable_items:read&#8217;, &#8216;user:clients:write&#8217;, &#8216;user:taxes:read&#8217;, &#8216;user:credit_notes:read&#8217;, &#8216;user:expenses:read&#8217;, &#8216;user:clients:read&#8217;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Create your application.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy<strong> Client ID<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Client Secret<\/strong>&nbsp;to Akaunting &gt; Settings &gt;&nbsp;FreshBooks page and&nbsp;<strong>Save.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Freshbooks Migration App transfers your:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chart of accounts (double entry)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Credit notes (credit debit notes app)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estimates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invoices (recurring also)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transactions (income &amp; expense)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taxes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vendors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FreshBooks is okay.
