Personalize operations with feature apps such as POS, Contracts, Budgeting, Proposals, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Migrating from Wave Apps<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following steps will assist you in successfully moving your business data from Wave Accounting to Akaunting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/assets.akaunting.com\/hc\/2023\/04\/05165632\/migrating-from-wave-apps.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/getting-started\/setting-up-akaunting-cloud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Create an account on Akaunting.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Login to your company dashboard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>Apps<\/strong> on the Navigation Menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search for <strong>Wave<\/strong> in the App Store and Install the <a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/apps\/wave\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wave Migration App<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After Installation, go to settings on <strong>Side Panel <\/strong>and select Wave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should log in to your Wave Apps account from the Wave Migration App dashboard by clicking on &#8220;Auth&#8221; and entering the required Wave account details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Migrating as an Akaunting On-premise User<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;ve installed Akaunting on-premise on your server, apply the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sign in to Wave<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.waveapps.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360019762711-Manage-Applications\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/developer.waveapps.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360019762711-Manage-Applications<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Create an application.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter&nbsp;app details (pick a name of your choice, e.g., Wave to Akaunting).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set a <strong>Redirect URL<\/strong>: The Redirect URL will be something like:&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/your-akaunting-path.com\/wave\/auth\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/your-akaunting-path.com\/wave\/auth<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Create your application.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy&nbsp;<strong>Client ID<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Client Secret<\/strong>&nbsp;to Akaunting &gt; Settings &gt; Wave page and&nbsp;<strong>Save.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Wave Migration App transfers your:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chart of accounts (double entry)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invoices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taxes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><code>Unfortunately, the API of Wave doesn't allow the export of your bills and transactions yet.<\/code><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Waveapps&#8217; services are only available in the US and Canada, limiting business growth potentials.
