{"id":564,"date":"2023-04-06T15:40:17","date_gmt":"2023-04-06T12:40:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/invoices-estimates\/sending-an-invoice\/"},"modified":"2025-10-10T14:58:33","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T11:58:33","slug":"sending-an-invoice","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/invoices-and-estimates\/sending-an-invoice\/","title":{"rendered":"Sending an Invoice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Akaunting allows you to create and send an unlimited number of Invoices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To send an invoice, you need to <a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/register?utm_source=HC&amp;utm_medium=content&amp;utm_campaign=sending_invoice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">log in to your dashboard<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/hc\/docs\/invoices-and-estimates\/creating-an-invoice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">create an invoice<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on <b>&#8220;Sales&#8221; <\/b>in the Navigation Menu to reveal expanded options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Invoices.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the Invoices dashboard, click <strong>New Invoice<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/assets.akaunting.com\/hc\/2023\/04\/06154348\/add-a-recipient-to-the-invoice-by-selecting.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enter the required Invoice details: <strong>Title<\/strong>, <strong>Customer<\/strong>, <strong>Logo, Billing information, Date, Order number, and more. <\/strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/akaunting.com\/blog\/invoice-billable-hours\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Check out the details you should have in an invoice<\/a>.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add a recipient to the invoice by selecting <strong>Add a Customer.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>New Customer, <\/strong>and enter the customer details. The Customer&#8217;s Name and Payment Currency are required fields.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add service or product information, quantity, and price.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If applicable, add <strong>Discounts<\/strong> and <strong>Taxes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After entering the necessary details, click <strong>Send To<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/assets.akaunting.com\/hc\/2023\/04\/06154514\/send-mail.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A pop-up window prompts you to send an email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the email address of the Invoice recipient, Subject and write details in the Email body.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If preferred, you can check the box to send a copy of the email to yourself.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, click <strong>Send.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><code><em>You can add <\/em><strong><em>Notes<\/em><\/strong><em> to invoices for instructions to the recipient.<\/em><\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><code><em>The <\/em><strong><em>Advanced <\/em><\/strong><em>option lets you define a <\/em><strong><em>Footer<\/em><\/strong><em>, <\/em><strong><em>Category<\/em><\/strong><em> and upload <\/em><strong><em>Attachments<\/em><\/strong><em> where necessary.<\/em><\/code><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Send Invoice to Multiple Email Addresses<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When adding a customer, use the <strong>Contact Persons<\/strong> section to add the email addresses of people who will receive a copy of any email sent to the Customer.
