Categories drop down not showing categories I created

As the title has indicated when trying to create a new payment I am unable to select previous categories I have created and this is really affecting us

Make sure you've set the proper type for that category.

Sorry, but making it the expensive type (what I need for) did not fix the issue, I still cannot see it
