Error Installing Wave App

Hi there,

I'm using the Cloud version of Akaunting and tried to install the Wave app.
However, I'm getting an error during installation: "Not able to copy Wave files" at 75% stage.

Could someone help me out?
Anyone else facing the same error?

On the app store, the Wave app is version 1.0.3.

Can you please try now again?

Hi Denis, I noticed the interface changed and I couldn't find a link to navigate to the apps page anymore. I had to check my history and try different URLs to access the apps page that allowed me to install (https://app.akaunting.com/apps/home) Wave app.

The installation does work now and completes successfully. Thanks for the quick help!
However because of the interface change, my left hand panel menu seems to be missing and I can't access the 'Settings' page to update the settings for the installed Wave app.

If it is any help, the webpage footer is indicating I'm on Version 2.1.0.0.

Hello, I was able to install the Wave migration app from the Akaunting App store but I do not see a Wave option in my settings. I have followed the other steps and created a ClientID on developer.waveapps.com but I cant find the installed migration app in Akaunting to complete the process.

Any idea why this could be or am I missing something in the process?

Hi Denis, adding on another issue, not sure if its related to the earlier fixes you implemented, the Wave app, during importing of invoices is encountering '500 Internal Server Error'. Other imports work fine normally.

Hi Dr. Namrata, I don't know if you are using the Cloud or Self-Hosted version.
I'm using the Cloud version v2.1.0 and Wave app v1.0.3, and that doesn't require any setup on Wave side itself, unless you are using the self-hosted version.

Below are the steps for the Cloud version:
- After installation in Akaunting Cloud, I went to 'Settings' on my left menu panel and 'Wave' was right there.
- From there I click 'Auth' and was redirected to Waveapps.com for the authentication and authorization steps.
- Once that was done, I could sync most of my data except currently the invoices which are getting an error.

If you are on self-hosted, I'm not familiar but hope the information may help you.
Maybe you might need to upgrade your Akauting self hosted version to the latest?
And check the application logs for any errors that could point you in the right direction.
Or check you are using the latest version of Wave app?

Hi Fu Keong, I'm using the cloud version of Akaunting. I was able to eventually see the Wave option under settings. I guess it was only a matter of waiting for a couple hours to let it show up.

I have been able to sync my customer list and list of services, but not much else. No invoices or other financial history. The sync feature is great when it works and I'm grateful for its existence, but I'm hoping to see improvements in the tool.

Hi Dr. Namrata, I also experienced the same missing setting when I tried to install the Wave app on another company. I tried to clear cache and cookies, did a re-login and it didn't appear. I checked again the next day and it reappeared. I guess there are some back end jobs need to be run before the option would appear.
