Hide income/expense from dashboard

can we Hide income/expense or anything from the dashboard? i don't want other user knows how much i'm making

Its quite hard to get the overriding-output working..
Particularly - following the example in the docs I get errors like "Class 'Modules\Invoice2\Providers\View' not found" but I'm not sure why and what I'm doing wrong...
Has anyone been successful with this and is willing to share an example with which file needs to be where?
