1000 invoice limit active

I upgraded to the latest version and I'm hitting the 1000 invoices limit even though I only have 460 invoices for this year.
How can this be fixed?

Might it be because imvoices from last year and this year have been imported this year and sum up to above 1000 invoices?
If this is the case, there should be a fix for this.
