Adding Date of Service on Invoice

Hi All,
Apologies, I couldn't find this in a previous thread.
I create invoices that contain services provided during a one-week period.
For each service I list, I need to include the date. However, I cannot see the option to customise the template by adding an additional column (I need all the existing columns for item numbers, etc.) Is there any way to customise this? If not, I am going to end up putting it in the description, but it just looks messy.
