Cannot create a company

Hi,
- I clicked on Manage Companies and
- Then I clicked on Add New company. I completed the form.
- After creating the company, the new company was not added to the drop down menu showing the companies.
- The software was working fine yesterday. There is something wrong.

Please kindly help resolve this.

Hi,

It appears that there is a restriction of the number of companies that are visible on the dashboard menu.

When I disabled one company, I could see the new company that I created.

How can this restriction be removed?

Hello Caroline,
There is no limit on the number of companies at Akaunting. Dropdown for companies on the top left reveals ten companies as options.
This may be the reason why you do not see the company. I'd recommend you to switch between companies that are not listed on the dropdown by visiting the "Manage Companies" page and take action via three dots.

Hi Yusuf,

Thank you for your kind respond. The switch function works. Thank you.

1) But I have another problem. I have added a new user (the company owner) on the software and I want to add that user to the new company but the new company is not visible and cannot be selected and assigned to a new user.

2) When I added the new company, the software did not go to the page requiring me to insert my API key and finish setting up the new company. So this is maybe the reason why I cannot add a user to the new company that was added. How do we resolve this issue. Is there a configuration which needs to be fixed on Akaunting?

3) Your response above mentions options. Where do I find the options so that I can change the settings by increasing the number of companies?

4) Another issue I noticed on Managed Companies is that the software does not permit a company to be deleted. It gives you a server 500 error.

Hi Yusuf,

I have solved the problem.  I am super excited:-).  

The new company was not showing when adding it to the user, so I had to type the first 3 characters of the new company (filter) and it showed up.

I feel so relieved.  All is good.  

Thank you for being patient with me.  I am sorry for all the trouble.
