Hello,
I can see any information at the website about the difference between cloud and hosted. Anyone can let me know wich one is better? Does it possible to run cloud version and if we decided to hosted after to migrate this to our service later?
Regards,
Marcelo
The difference is pretty clear https://akaunting.com/start
Export-Import feature is available in Akaunting
Agreed.
To clarify, Marcelo, I think the software features are identical.
I am already using it. The difference is that one i have all control of the servrice and files and the cloud hosting i do not have this control like information on Mysql db, etc.
Regards!
Could you link to the export/import feature? I don't find it...
Managed Cloud hosting refers to a hosting plan that comes with additional features or services. The host takes care of everything rather than you have to implement the features or services. The host makes it simpler for the user, so they don't need much technical knowledge.
You got services in Managed hosting like Cloudways offer are like:
Automated Backups
Performance Monitoring
Automatic Software Updates
Security
Easy-to-use Platform
SSH Access
Top-notch Support
Scalable Services
and more.
Unmanaged hosting is a hosting plan with no additional services. With unmanaged hosting, you get a server with only an operating system installed. You'll need to install the necessary software on your own (not only WordPress, Magento, Drupal but sometimes the basic ones like Apache.)

I know this is an old thread, but I had the same question and couldn't find any direct answer anywhere in this forum. Finally found the answer when I started the sign-up process. Sharing here for the next poor lost soul who happens upon the forum threads on this subject.

All the information on the website is a 40 thousand foot view of the comparisons between the two. Looking for the details between the two versions.
For starters:
1- You can not import your quickbooks data into a self hosted solution
If everyone would continue on this tread of the actual differences that would be helpfull to others so you dont have to spend hours reading through outdated information.
Hi Everyone,
Are there any possibility to close this discussion. When i created 5 years ago, the akaunting was in trasition. Today all the informations are very clearly at the website.
Regards,
Marcelo
