Dividend payment

How do I make the dividend payment exempt as a general business expense?Because according to UK business regulation, a dividend is not a business expense that should be stated as an operating (ie, tax reducing) expense on my balance sheet.
So I need to enable the dividend in order to remove the money paid as a dividend from my accounts, as to not appear I have money in my company accounts that I do not.
