Email Settings (SMTP)

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to configure Email settings for SMTP mainly, I set the hostname, username, password, port, SSL and etc..
The settings are saved and updated successfully, but when I test it for password reset, it's pending and loading all the time and there's no email sent to me even in my junk/spam emails box.

I really need help in this.

Can you provide more details? Are you using self-hosted or cloud version?
what sort of SMTP server do you have. Is it a general free version as gmail, outlook etc.. or do you pay for a private smtp server?

Can you try to create a mailtrap.io account and see if the mail reaches your box?

Same Problem.

The error in the logs is "Cannot send message without a sender address" but there is no option to set a sender address.
My guess would be that you usually take that from the company but there is no company in the context of Forgot Password.

Akaunting is unusable for me in this state... I must be able to set it up to send emails through my smtp server.
