Giant "a" PreLoader on Every Page Even After Loading

Hi,

After upgrading to 3.0.10, I click on a page and it loads quite quickly ... but then it gets locked down but an "a" preloader that takes over the page and spins for many seconds. Why is this preloader appearing and/or how do I gt rid of it?

This preloader serves no purpose and it is ruining my life!!! It MUST go. Please help, anyone!!!
