Reconcile Negative Balance Error

I've added a credit card as a bank account to be able to track purchases made on the credit card. I created the account, started it with a negative balance, added a few transactions, then attempted to reconcile, again, ending with a negative balance.

Here is how I made a simple test:
Created a new company.
Create a new account called "credit card" with a starting balance of -4000.
Create one bill for 400, add payment using the account "credit card".
Create a new reconciliation for account "credit card" with ending balance -4400.
On the transactions screen, the one transaction of 400 shows up correctly, as does starting balance of -4000, and closing balance of -4400. However the cleared balance is showing -4400, and the difference is showing as -8800.

I think there is a bug where a negative sign is being ignored in the reconciliation process that is causing an error with a negative balance, so we can't reconcile the account.

Yes, I'm having the same problem. How do we report a bug?

Can this be considered as a BUG REPORT please?

My issue (when trying to reconcile a Credit Card bank account with negative opening balance):
Starting balance -720.27, Closing balance -2.52
I have only 3 transactions:
1: Deposit 17.00
2: Deposit 765.69
3: Withdrawal 64.94
I have not ticked the 'clear' box next to any of these transactions, yet the "Cleared Amount" sub-total shows -2.519999999999982 when it should be 0.00, and "Difference" shows -5.04 when it should be 0.00
If I (falsely) enter (+)2.52 as the closing balance then "Cleared Amount" sub-total still shows -2.519999999999982 when it should be 0.00, and "Difference" shows 0.00 when it should be 5.04. So I could reconcile the account with the incorrect closing balance!

I am self-hosting (via Softaculous) Akaunting version 2.1.9.

Hope you can sort this very soon!
