I have missing buttons to on self-hosted version. I have to change settings but I can't save them. That's annoying.

I have the same issues. I submitted a ticket on git hub. I was told "Please make sure the upgrade is done correctly. Because this issue reason your permissions."

Ah yes, the old "incorrect upgrade, check permissions" excuse. I got the same response, but with no actual way to check/test/fix. So, I went into the database and saw the roles and permissions tables. In both cases, I had full access to absolutely everything. So, it's definitely NOT a permissions issue. I tried to do a manual install of 3.x but I couldn't migrate my data over from 2.x because the 3.x script creates a whole new table prefix in the database and/or runs forever on the install step, never completing it. So, upgrade is broken too.

On a related note, last night my bookkeeper lost access to the Payroll "Next" button ... yet it worked on my computer. She refreshed pages on her computer and eventually it came back, but why so touchy?

There is something seriously wrong with button in v3...
