Hi Akaunting Team,
Thanks for making such a wonderful tool
Hello Friends,
I have an issues in Tax while generating Invoice ... Whatever Tax type I select always the total is not adding tax
For Ex.
Item Cost = 1000
Tax (10%)= 100
My Expected Total = 1100
System Generated Total = 1000
Please help
Thanks
Hello Satish.
Check on Settings > Taxes the type of tax you are using.
If it's an inclusive tax the total won't be added.
Cheers.
Thanks Leonardo for your quick reply :-)
Inclusive works differently as depicted here ...
Expected:
Item Price = 1000( Item Amount is also = 1000)
Tax (10%) = 100
Total = 1100
Actual (when set Tax Type as inclusive) :
Item Price = 1000 (But Item Amount is shown as = 90,909,090,909,090.92 don't know what this value is)
Tax = 90.91
Calculated Subtotal = 90,909,090,909,090.92 (Don't know what this value is )
Calculated Total = 909.09 which is again wrong
Are you set on the latest version and can you post your settings for your VAT as set in Akaunting?
I am not having this problem, so it needs to be something in your settings.
It took me a while to work out what was going on with taxes as well but once I started using the inclusive tax (rather than standard), it all became much simpler. I didn't have to worry about ex-tax rules at all. Just enter the total amount including tax, select the tax with the appropriate tax rate and it works it out for you. As I said, I did have to spend a little time setting this up but it now works great.
when trying to add VAT, it says new tax, fill fields in, name and vat 21% and will not save ?? help ;)
