Unable to properly record payments

When I record a payment of 47.78 euros, the system records a payment of 4778 euros. Editing the payment each time reverts the amount to 4778 euros.

Adding an attachment to a payment is also currently not possible for me. This fails silently after selecting a file.

Try 47,78 EUR

I think there is some hardcoded stuff there. 47,78 instead of 47.78 works for me.
Attachments could be permissions on the server, or upload size exceeding 2MB, see your php settings.

Thanks. But, the *only* thing I can try is 47,78; the comma is hardcoded into the submission form. That is, I type neither a comma nor a period, the form decides.

As for the attachment, I am not hosting the software myself, I'm using the version hosted on https://app.akaunting.com. So, any server issues are out of my ability to fix.

I just realised that I am now a former Akaunting user... But I am only user, and I can not advice other than what I was thinking. Unfortunately the Akaunting team is not that responsive. And I just saw another topic that if a change is making your life hard, then tough luck, they are not going to change anything.

Hello,

There is no hardcoding, it's all your currency settings:

https://akaunting.com/docs/user-manual/settings/currencies

As for the attachment issue, I just tried and was able to upload a PDF file.

Thanks Denis.

I would not expect the application to start behaving differently when I did not change any setting. But, it does not seem to me that this problem is related to my currency settings.

Here are my Euro currency settings:

Here I am adding a paid invoice, with the amount of 47,61 euros:

This results in a recorded amount of 4761,00 euros:

What exactly do I need to change in the currency settings to make this work?

Here I am about to select a file to include:

After selecting the file, there is no indication a file was actually selected:

Then saving the payment and accessing the payment again, no file is listed, the screen looks the same as in the above screenshot.

So, neither setting an amount with decimal values, nor uploading a file is working for me.

How do I resolve both? Note that neither of these problems existed before I was moved to the current version of Akaunting.

As a follow up: If I try to enter an amount in an exact number of euros (like, say 10,00), it's correctly recorded. If I enter an amount that includes cents, the amount is recorded with added two zeroes
So, 10,12 becomes 1012,00, and if I set an amount like 10,10, so without individual cents, but with a multiple of 10 cents, the recorded amount has one zero aded. So, 10,10 becomes 101,00.

I can not imagine I'm the only one experiencing this bug.

And another followup: I was able to upload an attachment, using Firefox. There still is no indication a file is going to be uploaded after selecting one, but it is uploaded.
However, after uploading, the uploaded file can not be deleted. Tapping the 'x' results in this console error:

SyntaxError: expected expression, got ')'
void();:1:5

But, also on Firefox (and on Chrome and no Safari), the amount entered for a payment is given extra zeroes if it doesn't have two already.

Same Problem here.
I try to add 10,99 and no matter what I try it will add 1.099,00.

Thanks Panagiotis. Let’s hope action is taken to resolve these bugs.
