Unable to upload files

I'm currently unable to upload files to payments made. So, invoices.

This has happened before.

I'm on hosted Akaunting.

Saving a payment with an uploaded file fails silently. The console reports some, but not very helpful errors. See link for screenshot.

Hi,

We could not reproduce any issue on our end with both Cloud and Local.(both in invoices and bills). Could you please check your network environment also try to do this with a fresh company if possible?

Thanks.

My connection is fine. And, trying this with a 'fresh' company won't really explain the reason for the failure.

I have since my earlier message been able to upload one file to a new expense. But, for other expenses, this still fails.

This is the error message in the console:

Hi,

Sorry, but we could not reproduce the issue and had no feedback from other users. Also had no error log from Bugsnag regarding this case, unfortunately from here, we can not interfere with your system. I suggest you check out our dedicated support packages for further help from the following link.

I see.

You are understanding I'm using your package on your website, yes? So, whatever the problem, it's on your end.

If I would purchase any of your support packages, what would you investigate? Your own code on your own servers?

Further, your pricing is quite steep. I see, in the cheapest tier, a price of 99 USD per month. For my freelance business, that is quite a bit more than what a competitor, Quickbooks, asks, at 12.50 per month.
What makes it that your service is 8 times more expensive?

I have encountered the same problem. I have two seperate instances of Akaunting on the same server. One allows uploading of documents fine, the other doesn't. The bill will save without the attachment but whenever I try and upload an attachment on that one instance it just returns back to the edit bill screen and there's no error message. I'm assuming that given it's working on one instance and not the other, on the same server, that it must be a configuration or permissions problem. Any suggestions as to how to track it down?

Ok, a little progress made here. The problem wasn't permissions related - it was related to the file size of the attchment. I reduced the file size of the PDF from just over 2MB down to +400K and the attachment uploaded fine Not sure where this file size setting is set though. Hope it helps others.

Interesting. Thanks.

I doubt it's a setting, otherwise Melda, who's staff, would be able to tell you/us.

Then again, if anyone would know there's a limit to attaching files, Akaunting staff should know.
