Edit the invoice layout

Hello all,
want to ask you how can be the invoice layout (classic / default / modern) edited. I mean to move the elements up/down or in different places, to change the fonts sizes, font type, font color etc...
I need to edit the source code - not need the plugins/apps if possible.
