Absolutely no way to upgrade to 2 from 1?

As mentioned before, the automated update says:

modules.errors.finish

And the manual update also gives an error:

C:\>php c:\akaunting_path\artisan update core 1
Downloading core update...
Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string

Just can't upgrade. Is there anything I can do?

p.s. I appreciate free versions don't pay the bills, but I'm doing this pro-bono for a little charity that put everything into Akaunting and it'll be really hard to find the volunteer effort to re-enter it again into V2 or another packge.
