Access denied 'forge'@'localhost' installation

I am trying to install akaunting in ubuntu. I have a mysql server running and php installed. Running 'composer install' gives an error:
SQLSTATE[HY000] Access denied for user 'forge'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I think it's related to Laravel trying to connect to mysql but have no idea what to do. I have never made a 'forge' user in mysql so why would it be able to connect anyhow?
