Akaunting will lose a lot of advocates with this problem. I will wait a week for response, but if no support on it, go eleswhere. As with Felix, I know the db is accessible by the user, but not via the install script. Some clarification would help, admin?
For me, installing Akaunting is as simple as installing WordPress. Database connection error has nothing to do with Akaunting itself but your database engine settings so you should definitely contact your hosting provider.
@Felix
There is no simple to create a database, see the options in the WordPress site, so if you're going to contribute to the docs, don't suggest just the way it worked for you but research the most well-known ways.
@Admins
Why not offer a paid installation service? Maybe also make sharable with the community so that tech-guys can make the installation of non-techs and get some bucks.
