Error when installation

Dear Akaunting Support,

I am having the below error message while installing Akaunting:-

PHP Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected 'class' (T_CLASS), expecting identifier (T_STRING) or variable (T_VARIABLE) or '{' or '$' in /home/..../public_html/Akaunting/index.php on line 24

Please advise.

Do you gave folders and files the correct permissions?
