I am currently evaluating Akaunting on a free cloud trial subscription. I am attempting to test the vendor import functionality but am unable to complete a successful import.
Steps tried:
Used a minimal .xlsx file with only one worksheet, including a header row ("Name" and "Country") and a single test vendor ("US" for country).
File example:| Name | Country ||-------------|---------|| Test Vendor | US |
Tried different browsers (Chrome, Firefox).
Cleared cache, logged out/in, and tried demo data if available.
Verified file naming and format.
No errors or mapping step appears, and no vendors are imported. In Firefox, I received an error: "undefined array key country."
Can you please advise if vendor import is enabled in the trial environment, or if this could be a configuration or application bug? I would like to test the import feature before proceeding with a subscription.
Thank you,
Found the answer. The AI agent on chat is pretty good, but clueless on actual functionality. It said only two columns in the import .xlsx file were required, but that is not the case. You must download the sample file and populate that. Delete the values in the email column in the sample, but keep the column. Unclear what columns are mandatory, but once I populated the sample .xlsx file, left email blank, it upload fine.
