How to update to higher Laravel version?

Current version is using Laravel 5.4, which has some bugs that were not fix until higher versions. Is it possible to update to higher version of Laravel?

I hope you're doing well, You can update your laravel version with a single command or you can install Laravel 8 version using this following command:

composer create-project --prefer-dist laravel/laravel blog
