Problem moving to a new server

Hi, I moved my instance to a new server recently - copied all of the files and the DB and moved them to a new host. While the app itself seems to still work well, I am no longer able to run a version update. I click on the update button for the new version and it jumps to the update screen but the fuel gauge never moves.The page refreshed but the gauge is stuck at 0% and the page does nothing. I'd imagine this might be caused by either a permissions or configuration issue. Anyone with ideas of where to start...?
