I think that's my original install. Is there a way to check the update history of my installation?

That's not possible because 1.3.18 was never released, it's just a ghost version to allow update from 1.3 to 2.0 version.

Well in that case it must have been when I tried to update to the latest version or the version that came out before.

I am facing that same problem with my akauting, how do I roll back or may fix that?

Captain, I could advance further by purging php and reinstalling 7.3+ version, but I got stucked on login page now...

after purging & reinstaling you got of course to enable pdo_mysql and put yours /etc/php/yourmanager/php.ini
