Succesful WP install, but Woo plugin API "invalid"

I tried to implement Akaunting last spring for my small seasonal web business. I failed.

In preparation to reopen my website (hopefully with a working local Akaunting install), I have installed the app on my Wordpress Host, but I am unable to get the App to recognize the Woo Advanced tab generated API Key (Error: The API Key entered is invalid!). I am prompted to go to akaunting.com to retrieve an API. But that is cloud and I want a local WP install. Am I missing permissions in WP?

I would greatly appreciate a little guidance. Thank you.
