syntax error, unexpected

Hello, i followed the instruction to install Akaunting, but i'm getting in error_log this message and page is blank

Hello Peter. Please, make sure you're using PHP 5.6+ version.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'class' (T_CLASS), expecting identifier (T_STRING) or variable (T_VARIABLE) or getting similar error which i tried to access the domain after installation ?
