Update ERROR

Hello,

After trying to update to 1.3.18, I got the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'const' (T_CONST), expecting variable (T_VARIABLE) in /home/user/domain/vendor/symfony/http-foundation/HeaderBag.php on line 21

How to fix this?

Best regards

I have upgraded to PHP 7.2 and had the host company run the command php artisan update:terminal ---- however this resulted in an error "Not able to update core from terminal".

Now when I visit my login page though, I am no longer getting an Internal Server Error 500 I am getting a different looking login page with varying shades of blue... but when I try and login, it simply sits there and doesn't actually work :-(

Having the same issue as OP. Update from 1.3.17 to 1.3.18 fails with the same exact error (syntax error in HeaderBag.php).

I'm running PHP 7.1.29 on IIS 10.0/Win2016.

I am having the same error. Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'const' (T_CONST), expecting variable (T_VARIABLE) in .../vendor/symfony/http-foundation/HeaderBag.php on line 21

Would anyone be kind to help
