Gmail API Support

Using Gmail through SMTP requires you to enable "Less Secure Apps" in the google settings.

Is there a way of using a gmail account to send emails through a secure interface provided by gmail?

I would love this too I am in the same position and not sure how to solve it

just worked it out!
Dont use gmail that simple we are only using gmail as a relay.
There are a heap of free smtp relay services out there I just set up mailjet in 5min easiest thing i have ever done.
The email from will still be whatever you want it to be
