About GST

GST is a 10% inclusive tax on most goods, services, and other items sold or consumed in Australia.

Businesses must register for GST when their turnover is AUD 75,000 and more for either the last or the trailing 12 months. The businesses need to register within 21 days of their GST turnover exceeding the relevant threshold. The total GST turnover needs to be reported to Australian Tax Authorities either monthly or quarterly as Business Activity Statements (BAS).
