Installed App, not Available

Hello, I just installed this today (self-hosted) and I installed the Receivables & Payables app. I see the module has downloaded to .../modules/ReceivablesPayables but the widgets do not appear when trying to set them up on my dashboard.

The only entry in the log is: roduction.DEBUG: Console command:: php artisan module:install receivables-payables 1 en-GB

An assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You will probably want to submit a ticket for App support.

Okay thanks, I've added the php_binary setting to the .env file as per other suggestions but to no avail.

I just noticed that the app I am trying to install does not show in my apps in my profile. Maybe that is because it is a free app, or may be related...

So I can't open a ticket since I have not paid for an app yet. I am not buying an app until I know it will install and work, which is why I am testing with a free app. Turning debug on does not help.

Thoughts/help would be grateful.

Hello,

That happens due to the PHP CLI set lower than the 7.2 version. Generally, in shared hosting with cPanel, Plesk, etc. panels where they offer Multi-PHP versions but set the lowest one for CLI, mostly 5.x version.

So please, ask your hosting provider to set the PHP CLI version 7.2 or higher.

Hi Denis

Thanks,

This is what they have sent me as what I am set to:

PHP 7.3.20 (cli) (built: Jul 14 2020 19:18:12) ( NTS )
Copyright (c) 1997-2018 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v3.3.20, Copyright (c) 1998-2018 Zend Technologies

So, update to this, I verified with the host that PHP CLI is 7.3.20, that I am only using PHP 7.3.20 and my PHP_BINARY is set in the .env file (PHP_BINARY="opt/cpanel/ea-php73/root/usr/bin/php-cgi"
)..

I am not any further ahead in the app install. So I am wondering, is there a way to install the apps manually? Since they download, then I assume all I need to do is manually update the database?

Thanks

The only reason is PHP CLI, wrong version and/or not working properly.

Unfortunately, we can't provide further server-side support. Here you get Akaunting installed within one-click and see it working:

I'll double check the CLI, thanks. So there is no manual way of installing the modules? There must be some way. I did make some progress manually, is there any database documentation?

Thanks again, maybe I'll get a support person who can confirm the CLI--it's too bad the error logging is not more detailed--unless there is something other than the debug console that can be flagged?
