Migration from Wave

1. Does the Akaunting Auth use OAuth2 Authentication which is required by Wave?

2. Another possible alternative for some people may be the Wave Connect Google Sheet Addon which allows export as well as import of data

Sorry forgot the Wave Connect URL = https://support.waveapps.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020768272

@Kong, I don't get what you mean.

Is https://developer-apps.waveapps.com/apps/ the same as - https://developer.waveapps.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019762711-Manage-Applications ?

@Victor yes it's the same.

Edit your App and what do you see under Redirect URIs? I suspect its not set properly.

@Kong
New to Akaunting so I am not sure if I doing something wrong or if its a problem. Using cloud version.

I have followed the instructions and I don't get any error messages but it doesn't sync any data.
- created the Full access token but there is request to input it anywhere, there is no header as far as I can find
- the sync button missing in the app but the auth is there in orange. Pressing that one I end up in approving to wave the access and then back to login to akaunting again. It repeats this every time I try.

Any idea what I did wrong?

Wave support said changing the browser is the only thing required as they don't have special settings.

I have two version cloud and self hosted. Self hosted still gives the 500 error when I switched to using Firefox but cloud managed to auth and I could sync but I ended up with multiple duplicates as I had to start over sync after each failure.

Who has managed to get the self hosted to sync correctly and how is yours installed. I have myself self hosted installed on a subdomain.

I'm using the cloud version of Akaunting, when I try to install the app it stops at 75% and the message says 'Not able to copy Wave files' should I have done something prior to the installation?

Just retry again until it finish sync

I had to do it a 3 times and deleted the duplicates later.

I also think you need to have a stable internet connection for it to go through smoothly.
