Importing Items, Products, or Services

Akaunting makes manually importing your items, product, or services easy.

Importing Items, Products, or Services:

• Go to Items on the Navigation menu.
• On the Items page, click Import or the ellipses icon at the top left corner.

• Select Import from the ellipses dropdown options.
• On the Import Items page, Download the sample file and fill in the provided fields.

In the Items tab, you can enter the following details:

• Name: Categorize the transaction as Income or Expense.
• Type: Product, Service, or other.
• Description
• Sale Price
• Purchase Price
• Category name
• Enabled: Enter TRUE to enable the Product/Service.

In the Item Taxes tab, you can enter the following details:

• Item name: Name of tax
• Tax rate

• Save the file as XLS or XLSX.
• Upload your file to Akaunting.
• Click Import and wait for a few seconds. This may vary depending on the size of the data.

You’ll get a notification on the sidebar notification icon. Also, a confirmation will be sent to your email once the upload is completed.
