Migrating To Akaunting with Switch (Cloud)

Switching from your current accounting software provider to Akaunting is seamless with Switch. Unlike the app-based migration, Switch is an inbuilt feature that automatically imports your data into Akaunting within a few minutes.

Migrating to Akaunting with Switch:

• New User
• Existing User

New User

This means you just created a profile on Akaunting and have no data records, such as invoices, Transactions, Items, etc.

• Quickbooks
• Wave
• Xero
• Freshbooks
• Zohobooks
• FreeAgent

Quickbooks

• Click on Switch on the Navigation Menu

• Select your Accounting Software provider (e.g., Quickbooks) from the list of options.

• Access your profile by clicking Let’s Authenticate

• You’ll be redirected to a Login page to enter your account details.
• Enter your User ID and Password and click Continue.
• On the redirected page, you’ll see a selection of data that can be Imported.
• Click Edit to customize the data you want to Import.

• Click Let’s Switch
• Wait for the Akaunting to sync your data.

• When completed, click Go to Dashboard to return to your Akaunting profile.
• Your data is automatically imported into Akaunting.

Wave

Ensure that you are already logged into your Wave account before starting the process.

• Click on Switch on the Navigation Menu

• Select Wave from the list of options.

• Access your profile by clicking Let’s Authenticate. You’ll be redirected to an Access page.
• Click Allow Access.

• On the redirected page, you’ll see a selection of data that can be Imported.
• Click Edit to customize the data you want to Import.

• Click Let’s Switch
• Wait for the Akaunting to sync your data.
• When completed, click Go to Dashboard to return to your Akaunting profile.
• Your data is automatically imported into Akaunting.

Xero

Ensure that you are already logged into your Xero account before starting the process.

• Click on Switch on the Navigation Menu

• Select Xero from the list of options.

• Access your profile by clicking Let’s Authenticate. You’ll be redirected to an Access page.
• Click Allow Access.

• On the redirected page, you’ll see a selection of data that can be Imported.
• Click Edit to customize the data you want to Import.

• Click Let’s Switch
• Wait for the Akaunting to sync your data.
• When completed, click Go to Dashboard to return to your Akaunting profile.
• Your data is automatically imported into Akaunting.

Freshbooks

Ensure that you are already logged into your Freshbooks account before starting the process.

• Click on Switch on the Navigation Menu

• Select Freshbooks from the list of options.

• Access your profile by clicking Let’s Authenticate. You’ll be redirected to a login page.

• Enter your Freshbooks login details and the login code sent to your email.

• On the redirected page, you’ll see a selection of data that can be Imported.
• Click Edit to customize the data you want to Import.

• Click Let’s Switch
• Wait for the Akaunting to sync your data.
• When completed, click Go to Dashboard to return to your Akaunting profile.
• Your data is automatically imported into Akaunting.

Zohobooks

Ensure that you are already logged into your Zohobooks account before starting the process.

• Click on Switch on the Navigation Menu

• Select Zohobooks from the list of options.

• Access your profile by clicking Let’s Authenticate. You’ll be redirected to a login page.

• Enter your Zohobooks login details.

• Click Accept on the next page.

• On the redirected page, you’ll see a selection of data that can be Imported.
• Click Edit to customize the data you want to Import.

• Click Let’s Switch
• Wait for the Akaunting to sync your data.
• When completed, click Go to Dashboard to return to your Akaunting profile.
• Your data is automatically imported into Akaunting.

FreeAgent

Ensure that you are already logged into your FreeAgent account before starting the process.

• Click on Switch on the Navigation Menu

• Select FreeAgent from the list of options.

• Access your profile by clicking Let’s Authenticate. You’ll be redirected to a login page.

• Enter your FreeAgent login details.

• Click Approve on the next page.

• On the redirected page, you’ll see a selection of data that can be Imported.
• Click Edit to customize the data you want to Import.

• Click Let’s Switch
• Wait for the Akaunting to sync your data.
• When completed, click Go to Dashboard to return to your Akaunting profile.
• Your data is automatically imported into Akaunting.

Existing User

If you have invoices, transactions, or other records in Akaunting, you should create a new company before using the Switch feature.

Switch overrides any existing data in your Akaunting profile.

Before Importing data, create a new company. Details on how to create a company.

• Click on Switch on the Navigation Menu
• Select Accounting Software provider from the list of options.
• Click Let’s Authenticate to access your current solution provider profile.

Note: If you have not yet created a new company, you can do so by clicking on New Company at the top of the page. Check out video below.

• Access your current provider profile by clicking Let’s Authenticate.

• You’ll be redirected to a login page where you can enter your profile details.
• Enter your User ID and Password and click Continue.
• On the redirected page, you’ll see a selection of data that can be Imported.
• Click Edit to customize the data you want to Import.
• Click Let’s Switch
• Wait for the Akaunting to sync your data
• When completed, click Go to Dashboard to return to your Akaunting profile.
• Your data is automatically imported into Akaunting.

Note: All imported data will only be accessible in the new company.
