Migrating to Akaunting from FreeAgent

Free Agent is quite okay. However, flexibility is a challenge, complicating your day-to-day bookkeeping.

Akaunting provides an intuitive UI/UX for on-point financial management, business growth, and continuity, allowing you to manage your business finances how you want.

Migrating to Akaunting from FreeAgent

The following steps will help you successfully move your business data from FreeAgent to Akaunting.

After Installation, go to settings on Side Panel and select FreeAgent.

You should log in to your FreeAgent account from the Migration App dashboard by clicking “Auth” and entering the required account details.

Migrating as an Akaunting on-premise user

If you’ve installed Akaunting on-premise on your server, apply the following steps:

  1. Go to https://dev.freeagent.com/
  2. Sign in to FreeAgent Developer Portal.
  3. Click Create an App
  4. Enter app details and set Redirect URI like: https://your-akaunting-path.com/freeagent/auth (needs to end with /freeagent/auth).
  5. Click Save
  6. Copy Client ID “OAuth identifier” and Client Secret “OAuth secret” from FreeAgent to Akaunting > Settings > Freeagent page.
  7. Then, Save.
