Migrating to Akaunting from Xero

Migrating to Akaunting from Xero

The following steps provide a guide on successfully moving your business data from Xero to Akaunting.

• Create an account on Akaunting.
• Login to your company dashboard
• Go to Apps on the Navigation Menu
• Search for Xero in the App Store and Install the Xero Migration App

After Installation, go to settings on Side Panel and select Xero.

From the Xero Migration App dashboard, you should log in to your Xero account by clicking on “Auth” and entering the required Xero details.

Migrating as an Akaunting on-premise user

If you’ve installed Akaunting on-premise on your server (it does not support using on localhost – that is, your PC), apply the following steps:

1. Go to https://developer.xero.com/
2. Sign in to Xero.
3. Click Create new app.
4. Enter app details.
5. In the Integration type, select Web and set Redirect URL: The redirect URL will be something like this: https://your-akaunting-path.com/xero/auth (it needs to end with /xero/auth).
6. Click Create your application.
7. Copy Client ID and Client Secret to Akaunting > Settings > Xero page and Save
