Migrating to Akaunting from Zoho Books

Zoho Books is quite okay. However, has an ambiguous and quite complex way of accounting, which can make your day-to-day bookkeeping frustrating.

Migrating to Akaunting from Zoho Books

The following steps will help you successfully move your business data from Zoho Books to Akaunting.

After Installation, go to settings on Side Panel and select Zoho Books.

You should log in to your Zoho Books account from the Migration App dashboard by clicking on “Auth” and entering the required account details.

Migrating as an Akaunting on-premise user

If you’ve installed Akaunting on-premise on your server, apply the following steps:

  1. Sign in to Zoho Books.
  2. Go to https://api-console.zoho.com.
  3. Click Add Client and select Server-Based Application. 
  4. Enter app details.
  5. Set the Redirect URL: s The Redirect URL is something like this: https://your-akaunting-path.com/zohobooks/auth (needs to end with /zohobooks/auth)
  6. Click Create.
  7. In the Settings tab, select Use the same OAuth credentials for all data centers.
  8. Copy Client ID and Client Secret to Akaunting > Settings > Zohobooks page and Save
